Talc "Jumps" Into the Spotlight

On Tuesday, October 7, KMBC TV reporter Brenda Washington came to the Humane Society to do a few live spots during their morning show. The story was about Chihuahuas and how they are not necessarily the best dog for everyone. (In response to the recent movie release Beverly Hills Chihuahua.)

During the live segments Brenda featured Benson, a humane society Chihuahua that was looking for a home. During the last live segment, just as Brenda was wrapping up the interview Talc, a white cat, jumped onto Brenda's shoulder. Brenda was a great sport and recovered quickly by saying to the viewers, "If you want to adopt a dog or a cat, come down to the humane society." The news people back in the TV studio howled with laughter. It was great "live" TV. You just never know what will happen when you're in the humane society's cat room (with 20 cats freely walking around)!

Good news to share -- Benson has been adopted. Talc is still waiting for his forever home.
